I had hoped that instead of replacing me, this major company would put a clause in their contracts prohibiting AI use and protecting actors. Well, here we are, and I am taking a stand. If we knew 10 years ago what we know now, actors would have made very different choices about what rights they sign away. They can Clone my voice, use it for games, commercials, TV shows or movies, AI training…you name it, with no permission and no compensation.
This means they can choose to use my voice at any time for anything. Why? The company wants to retain the right to use my voice for AI technology. I think the main difference here is that Konami has been actively supporting Duel Links, whereas LoTD has been abandoned and there are more player base in DL, because of its simplistic gamestyle (dm and gx era cards with some new support cards from the recent boxes too) and that nolstalgia freshness, where other ED hasn't been introduced, yet.
